Ages 14 & 15
Pathway is closed.
A hands-on, skill-building and career exploration pathway. This interactive curriculum introduces young people to current skills, career and education paths, goal-setting, and future skills to build. Payment is stipend-based upon successful completion of the program. Youth are not placed at a job in this pathway, instead, they participate in career shadowing experiences. Summer programming also includes professional development workshops (optional).
Summer Work Experience
Ages 16-24, NO PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

Our flagship pathway for ages 16-24. These are entry-level positions with no previous work experience required. Each participant is matched with a local employer for paid work experience. Matches are based on interest, experience, skill level, and location. All participants in our programming receive Job Readiness Training, Financial Empowerment Training, access to a youth-friendly bank account, and a Job Coach for mentorship. Summer programming includes professional development workshops (optional).
Youth Ambassadors (YA)
Ages 18-24, STLYJ ALUMNI

This is a group of returning participants who have successfully completed a cycle with STL Youth Jobs. These are dynamic leaders that, in addition to a summer job, engage community members, youth, and alumni in STL Youth Jobs by sharing experiences and facilitating trainings & events.
Career Accelerator Pathway (CAP)
Ages 18-24, eNROLLED IN POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION

This pathway for 18-24 year olds is for job seekers with previous work experience that are looking for more of an internship that is based on their career goals. Participants must be enrolled in post-secondary education or in a trade program. Training and job placements are focused on matching a young person with their chosen career interest for a leveled-up experience. All participants in our programming receive Job Readiness Training, Financial Empowerment Training, access to a youth-friendly bank account, and a Job Coach for mentorship. Summer programming includes professional development workshops (optional).
