COVID-19

Our Response to COVID-19

A Note About COVID-19

First, we want to acknowledge that this is a very difficult time for all. We hope you are ok and reaching out to support systems if needed. See our notes below on “Additional Support & Resources.”

STL Youth Jobs is monitoring local government and CDC guidelines closely. We have and will continue to strive to provide the best services we can during this challenging time.

Our Policy

When the pandemic first began, we modified programming to allow for virtual options. As the globe continues to re-open and navigate the public health climate, we have continued to allow for both virtual and in-person options for program participants and employers. Our priority is to keep our youth and partners safe and healthy. We are monitoring CDC guidelines closely to ensure our youth are properly equipped and prepared during the program. As youth are placed to work at local businesses and organizations, we refer to each specific bussiness’s protocols regarding PPE, health and safety.

Additional Supports & Resources for Youth

If you are a youth needing additional support during this time, please reach out to us. Your health and safety are our number one priority and we are here for support beyond a summer job. Please contact us.

Counseling support is available via phone. Click to see who is providing Telehealth Resources.

STL Response is a dashboard that organizes the many powerful resource guides, news updates, and social media feeds that people across the region created to support their neighbors.

FOR OUR EMPLOYER PARTNERS

We want to recognize that many of your businesses/organizations are struggling to adapt during this incredibly difficult time and extend our whole-hearted support and well-wishes to you all as we acknowledge many of you are being forced to make some tough decisions. If there is anything that STL Youth Jobs can do to support you now and in the coming weeks and/or if your business has increased staffing needs and might benefit from connections to our youth participants, please let us know as soon as possible. We are continually grateful to our employer partners for the opportunities they provide to our youth and want to ensure we are being responsive to you all during this time of need as well.

We continue to strive to serve as many youth as possible. Your support is needed now more than ever.

Thank you in advance for your support at this crucial time. Businesses and organizations can contact Director of Employer Relations Lindsey Forsythe regarding any questions or to further discuss a partnership.
