06 Jun Nestle Purina PetCare, JP Morgan target St. Louis projects: Philanthropy Spotlight
STL Youth Jobs, a program that provides employment and work-readiness training to city youth, on June 1 received $150,000 from JP Morgan Chase to support an additional 45 jobs this summer. The jobs will be in the IT and health care sectors, both of which are growing locally, officials said. The funding brings JP Morgan Chase’s commitment for STL Youth Jobs to $350,000.
This summer’s funding from JP Morgan Chase will give youth in the eight-week program the opportunity to work in a variety of positions at three SSM Health campuses, and through Computer Village, a community-based technology and training project, and other IT-focused organizations.
